The Nordic version of Santa Claus is depicted by a special type of Christmas figurine called a gonk, which has a long, bushy beard and a knitted hat. Since then, their popularity has increased. They were inspired by gnomes and hobgoblins from Nordic and Scandinavian mythology.

They are lovely holiday decorations.
